DUBLIN — The 2016 Carolina Caledonian Fest CaledonianFest.com , scheduled for Oct. 28-30 at Lu Mil Vineyard in Dublin, has been cancelled according to the event’s producer, Allen McDavid of AKA Entertainment & Media.

“The far reaching devastation of Hurricane Matthew and its aftermath in Bladen County and surrounding counties led us to make the decision it was not wise to forward with the event this year,” McDavid said. “We will be in discussion regarding rescheduling the festival for next year.”

The festival was expected to be the largest single event in Bladen County, and organizers were looking to bring as many as 10,000 people to the area over the three-day period.
