— The rescheduled Four County EMC’s annual membership meeting will be held at the Duplin Events Center, 195 Fairgrounds Drive in Kenansville. Meeting is for Four County EMC members only and you must be present to be eligible for prizes. — West Bladen High School will conduct its third annual Veterans’ Recognition assembly at 8:30 a.m at the school. The program honors local veterans by inviting them to visit the school, enjoy a light breakfast, and observe various tributes to military personnel, past and present. Social hour/breakfast begins at 8:30; actual program starts at 9:30. — A benefit steak plate sale will be held at Elizabethtown Church of God. The plate includes a 9-oz. ribeye, baked potato, salad, roll, and dessert for $10. Eat in, take out, delivery, and a drive-thru will be available. Advanced tickets are available by contacting the church, or walk-ins are welcomed. The plate sale will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. All proceeds benefit Cody Clark.

— The rescheduled Crazy Fun Color Run & Walk to benefit United Way of Bladen County will be held. Lace up your shoes and put on your shades (provided for registered participants while supplies last) for this great community event at the Elizabethtown Industrial Park beginning at 7:30 a.m. to pick up race packets and for on-site sign-ups. The race will start at 9 a.m. in front of the Cape Fear Vineyard & Winery restaurant.
