HENDERSON — A Bladen County man who plead guilty in 2013 to felony drug and sex charges against a minor appeared in a Vance County courtroom on Tuesday on two counts of probation violations.

Gregory Hester of Bladenboro was originally sentenced to 28 to 34 months in prison, but that sentence was suspended in favor of five years of probation. He was to have served 90 days on house arrest and was not allowed to be alone with a minor during his probation.

According to court records, Hester solicited to provide Xanax to minors in his care in 2011 and sexually assaulted a female minor in his home.

On Tuesday, a judge revoked Hester’s probation on the two counts of willful violation by absconding and immediately sent him to jail in Vance County.
