— St. Luke AME Zion Church, located at 410 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Bladenboro, will host a Pastor’s Appreciation for the Rev. Hardy Ballard Jr., pastor of St. Luke and Mt. Pleasant in Lumberton, at 11 a.m. The rev. Delois Hines will bring the morning message. The public is invited.

— Oak Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church of Bladenboro will hold a fall revival each night at 7:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Heath Conner of Emerson OFWB Church. Oak Grove, located at 1423 Oak Grove Church Road, welcomes everyone to the services.

— New Center Baptist Church, located at 19894 N.C. 131 in Bladenboro, will host a “Pumpkin Palooza” from 3 to 7 p.m.

Oct. 22

— Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Council will have its annual Birthday Rally at 3:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Carolyn Jones and Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Fair Bluff. Everyone is invited.

Oct. 25

— Bethlehem United Methodist Church in White Oak will host a “Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat” at 6 p.m.

— White Oak Family Worship Center, located at 1932 Burney Road in White Oak, will host a “Hallelujah Night” starting at 6 p.m.

Oct. 28

— White’s Creek Baptist Church, located at 6838 Airport Road in the Lisbon Community, will host a Youth Gospel Explosion at 6 p.m. Many youth from the area will come together in songs praise dances to celebrate Jesus. The program is being sponsored by the White’s Creek Youth Choir. The public is invited.

— The Women Encouraging Women Outreach Ministry will host a “Community Harvest Fest” from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rupert F. Johnson Park, located on Fox Street in Elizabethtown. The event — which is completely free to the public — will include food, games and live music.

Oct. 29

— Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church, located at 16920 Twisted Hickory Road in Bladenboro, will hold a birthday celebration for October, November and December birthdays during the 11 a.m. worship service.

Nov. 5

— Tar Heel Baptist Church, located at 521 Tar Heel Ferry Road in Tar Heel, will host its annual Homecoming beginning at 10:30 a.m. with an outdoor worship service. There will also be free food, inflatables and fun for the whole family. Bring your own lawn chairs if wanted.

— Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Council will celebrate Harvest Day at 11 a.m. The Rev. Carl A. Smith will bring the morning message. Everyone is invited.

Nov. 12

— The Ushers of Mt. Olive A.M.E. Zion Church and the Rev. Haywood Oliver will have their anniversary at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Charles Jacobs from First Baptist Church in Riegelwood along with his choir. Everyone is invited.

Nov. 19

— The Mt. Olive Mass Choir, Mt. Olive A.M.E. Zion Church and the Rev. Haywood Oliver will be celebrating the 50th Choir Anniversary/Reunion at 3 p.m. A host of choirs are on program and also featuring former choir members. Everyone is invited.
