Nov. 18

—Greater McKoy’s Chapel, Inc. will be holding a birthday celebration program for November. All are invited for a gospel singing at 6 p.m. The church is located at 284 Center Road in Dublin.

— The Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church clothes closet will be open from 8 to 11 a.m. Their food pantry, “From His Table to Yours,” will be open the same day 10 a.m. to noon. Personal transportation and identifications are required. No fee is involved in either ministry. Baldwin Branch is located at 4047 N.C. 242 South in Elizabethtown.

Nov. 19

— The Mt. Olive Mass Choir, Mt. Olive A.M.E. Zion Church and the Rev. Haywood Oliver will be celebrating the 50th Choir Anniversary/Reunion at 3 p.m. A host of choirs are on program and also featuring former choir members. Everyone is invited.

Dec. 2

— White Oak Family Worship Center will host its fourth annual oyster roast under the pavilion, located at 1932 Burney Road in White Oak. Cost is $35 per person for all-you-can eat oysters as well as shrimp, fish, chicken bog and hushpuppies. There will be a bazaar from 4 to 8 p.m. with a variety of craft vendors; there will be live music from 6 to 8 p.m. Sponsored by the Children & Youth Department. — Kitchen Branch Missionary Baptist Church, located at 2058 Baltimore Road in Council, will host a “100 Women in Red” event at 3:30 p.m. Guest speakers will include Katrina Boykins, Pastor Nikki Steven and First Lady Deborah Gause. Refreshments will be served. Men are also welcome.

— A community Advent service will be held at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, led by Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church Pastor David Holloway. The service will take place from noon to 12:30 p.m.

— A community Advent service will be held at Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church, led by St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church Pastor Gerry Blackburn. The service will take place from noon to 12:30 p.m.

— Trinity United Methodist Church will host a community Advent service led by Edwin Ferguson, pastor of Mount Zion A.M.E. Zion Church. The service will take place from noon to 12:30 p.m.

• LAKE WACCAMAW: Union Baptist Church of the St. James Community will host a pre-Thanksgiving celebration on Nov. 19 at 3 p.m. Pastor Harrison Branch of Rehobeth AME Zion Church in Clarkton will be the speaker. The public is invited.
