Dec. 16

— A live nativity with the theme “God’s Greatest Gift: Jesus Christ” will be presented on the front lawn of the Bladen County Courthouse from 1 to 4 p.m. There will be various speakers from area churches and free hot chocolate. Hosted by the W.E.W. Ministry.

— Evangelist Willie Lewis will conduct a seminar on evangelism at 10 a.m. at the Elizabethtown Deliverance Evangelistic Center, 412 Peanut Road in Elizabethtown. Come out and learn the tools you need for soul winning. Open to everyone — all seats are free and refreshments will be served.

— White’s Creek Baptist Church, located at 6838 Airport Road in the Lisbon Community, will host a Christmas program at 5:30 p.m. with songs, skits and speeches. The public is invited.

— T​​he Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church clothes closet will be open from 8 to 11 a.m. Their food pantry, “From His Table to Yours,” will be open the same day 10 a.m. to noon. Personal transportation and identifications are required. No fee is involved in either ministry. Baldwin Branch is located at 4047 N.C. 242 South in Elizabethtown.

— Liberty Worship Center of Clarkton will hold its Christmas program at 6 p.m. This year’s play is titled “The Greatest Story Ever Told.” The church is located at 89 N. Grove St. in Clarkton. Everyone is invited to attend. For information, call 910-840-4325.

— Center Road Baptist Church will be celebrating the Christmas season with a Christmas Cantata, presented by the adult choir at 11 a.m. Everyone is invited to share this special event with us.

— Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church on West Broad Street will host its Christmas Cantata at 11 a.m. and against at 7 p.m.

— Galeed Baptist Church will host its annual Christmas Cntata at 10:50 a.m.

— Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church in Bladenboro will celebrate a Christmas program following the 11 a.m. service.

— True Vine Holiness Church will host its annual Christmas Concert and Dinner at 4 p.m. Featuring guest singers and soloists. Door prizes and gifts will be given out during the dinner. Everyone has a cordial invitation to attend. The church is located at 1503 Harrelson Road, Clarkton.

Dec. 20

— Trinity United Methodist Church will host a community Advent service led by Edwin Ferguson, pastor of Mount Zion A.M.E. Zion Church. The service will take place from noon to 12:30 p.m.

— Center Road Baptist Church children and youth will be presenting their annual Christmas play beginning at 7pm. Everyone is invited to share this special event with us.

Dec. 21

— Beth Car Presbyterian Church in Tar Heel will be holding a “Longest Night” service at 6:30 pm. It is open to the community, and anyone in need of hope and healing. Johnny Simpson, is the pastor.

Dec. 24

— Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church in Bladenboro will celebrate with a Church Christmas Service starting early at 8 a.m.

— The deacons of Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church in Bladenboro will spearhead the “Watch Night Service” starting at 10:30 p.m. with a candlelight march. The Rev. Donald Thompson will bring the midnight message.

• LUMBERTON: The Kingdom Place Praise Team will present their Christmas Musical “No Other Name” on Sunday, Dec. 17, in the 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. Kingdom Place is located at 2610 E. Fifth St. in Lumberton

• WHITEVILLE: Victory Baptist Church in Whiteville will be presenting a Christmas program entitled, “Born to Die” on Sunday, Dec. 17, at 6 p.m. Everyone is cordially invited to attend. • WHITEVILLE: A brief Christmas Eve Service will be held at Victory Baptist Church at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24. Everyone is cordially invited to attend. Singing of traditional Christmas hymns in a candle-light service can be a new family tradition before going back home for family Christmas Eve activities or just getting a biblical focus before Christmas Day.
