March 24

— White Lake Baptist Church, located at 7585 N.C. 41 East, will host a Community Outreach Program featuring several public safety agencies from 10 a.m until 2 p.m. There will be an open session in the sanctuary from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. and event programs will begin at 11:10 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m. Door prizes will be available.

— The Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church clothes closet will be open from 8 to 11 a.m. The food pantry, “From His Table to Yours,” will be open the same day 10 a.m. to noon. Personal transportation and identifications are required. No fee is involved in either ministry. Baldwin Branch is located at 4047 N.C. 242 South in Elizabethtown.

March 24-25

— Elizabethtown Church of God, located at 1767 N.C. 242 North in Elizabethtown, will host a “walk With Jesus,” an East event for families from 6 to 8 p.m. each night.

— The annual Community Lenten Service will be held noon to 12:30 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sheldon Reese, resident of White Lake and member of the Baltimore-Washington United Methodist Conference.

March 25

— PALM SUNDAY

— Passion Week services will be held at Pierce Chapel AME Zion Church, located at 595 Porterville Road in Clarkton, at 3 p.m. with guest speaker Pastor Frederick Bryant of Welches Creek.

— Holy Week services will be held at Tabernacle Church at 6 p.m. with the serman given by the Rev. Rona Watson.

March 25-28

— Butters Baptist Church, located at 1877 Berry Lewis Road in Bladenboro, will host a revival at 7 p.m. each evening with guest speaker Pastor Ryan Bennett of Cross Memorial Church in Marion. Everyone is welcome.

March 26

— Passion Week services will be held at Lovegrove FWB, located at 1763 Millie Christine Road in Whiteville, at 7 p.m. with guest speaker Pastor Johus Freeman of Pierce Chapel.

— Holy Week services will be held at Kitchen Branch Church at 7 p.m. with the service given by the Rev. Valentine Sutton.

March 27

— Passion Week services will be held at Christian Plain AME Zion, located at 1960 Jenkins Road in Whiteville, at 7 p.m. with guest speaker Pastor Ronald Brown of Lovegrove.

— Holy Week services will be held at Trinity Church at 7 p.m. with the serman given by the Rev. Anthony Gause.

March 28

— Passion Week services will be held at Sandy Plain MBC, located at 903 Farmers Union Road in Clarkton, at 7 p.m. with guest speaker Pastor Harrison Branch of Rehobeth.

— Holy Week services will be held at Saint James Church at 7 p.m. with the sermon given by the Rev. Valentine Sutton.

March 29

— Passion Week services will be held at Central PUSA, located at 7280 Hallsboro Road North in Clarkton, at 7 p.m. with guest speaker Pastor Alphonse Turner of Sandy Plain.

— Holy Week services will be held at Piney Grove Church at 7 p.m. with the service given by Elder Charles Simpson.

— Passion Week services will be held at Rehobeth AME Zion, located at 475 Rehobeth Church Road in Clarkton, at 7 p.m. with guest speaker Pastor Gene McNeil of Christian Plain.

— Holy Week services will be held at New Zion Church at 7 p.m. with the sermon given by the Rev. Carl Smith.

March 31

— Elizabethtown Church of God, located at 1767 N.C. 242 North in Elizabethtown, will host an Easter Egg Drop at 3 p.m. There will be Easter stories and games.

April 1

— EASTER

— A Community Early Rise Easter worship service will be held at Old Trinity Church on East Broad Street in Elizabethtown at 7 a.m. This is open to all.

— Tar Heel Baptist Church will celebrate Easter at its two worship services, at 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. A breakfast will be offered at 8:30 a.m. and Sunday School will be held at 9:15 a.m. For information, go to www.TarHeelBaptistChurch.com.

— Passion Week services will be held at Welches Creek MBC, located at 1733 Millie Christine Road in Whiteville, at 7 a.m. with guest speaker Pastor Theresa Page of Central PUSA.

April 7

— Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church will host a barbecue plate fundraiser to benefit East Bladen High School football coach Robby Priest on Saturday, April 7, in the PAC building from 5 to 8 p.m. There will also be a silent auction. Plates will cost $8 each and will include barbecue, baked beans, slaw, rolls and dessert for eat-in or take out. T-shirts with the slogan #RobbyStrong can also be purchased through the Facebook group Fighting with Robby—#RobbyStrong. Priest is currently battling cancer and undergoing chemotherapy treatments. All proceeds from the fundraisers will go to assist Priest and his family with medical expenses.

April 8-11

— Clarkton PFWB Church invites the community to join our congregation for our Spring Revival. Worship services will be held each night featuring a different speaker with special singing provided by T.J. Tatum. Speakers will be: April 8 at 6 p.m., the Rev. Johnny Guyton, pastor of Ammon PFWB Church; April 9 at 7 p.m., the Rev. Donnie Carlye, former pastor of Welcome PFWB Church; April 10 at 7 p.m., the Rev. April 28

May 6

— Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Council will host the 16th Pastoral Anniversary celebration for the Rev. Carl A. Smith. Elder Charles Simpson and St. James United Holy Church will be the morning guests. The afternoon service will begin at 3:30 p.m. with Reginald Wells and Falling Run Missionary Baptist Church of Cedar Creek, Fayetteville, as the guests. • LUMBERTON: The Praise Team at Kingdom Place will present the Easter Musical entitled “The Table” Sunday morning, March 25, in the 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. Kingdom Place is located at 2610 E. Fifth St. in Lumberton.

• WHITEVILLE: Victory Baptist Church in Whiteville will host a special Good Friday service on March 30 at 7 p.m and a special Easter Sunday service on April 1 at 11 a.m. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.
