Nov. 1

— Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Council will have their Annual Harvest Day celebration beginning at 11 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend

— The Senior Choir of Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate their anniversary at 3 p.m. Many local choirs and musicians will be on hand for this musical celebration. Refreshments will be provided.

— Tar Heel Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming with Sunday school beginning at 10 a.m. and the worship service at 11 a.m. The guest evangelist is Rev. Jesse Mooney of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Supply. Lunch will be served in the fellowship hall following the morning worship service.

Nov. 3

— The deacons of Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church will spearhead a three night revival beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 3, and continuing through Thursday, Nov. 5. Services will begin at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The revivalists will be the Rev. Hakeem Reeves of Pleasant Grove MBC of Calabash on Tuesday and the Rev. Corey Samuel Blanks of Charlotte on Wednesday and Thursday night.

Nov. 8

— Hands on Africa will tour the United States in November and will be leading a three night revival at the Elizabethtown Baptist Church beginning Sunday, Nov. 8 and continuing through Tuesday, Nov. 10. Services will begin at 7 p.m. nightly. The church is located at 1800 West Broad Street, Elizabethtown.

— The Mt. Olive Usher Board of Mt. Olive AME Zion Church will celebrate their anniversary at 3:30 p.m. Guest speaker is Rev. William L. Neill. Everyone is invited to attend.

— First Missionary Baptist Church of Abbottsburg will celebrate Harvest Day during the 11 a.m. worship service. Lunch will be served following the worship service.

— The Mt. Olive Mass Choir will celebrate their 48th anniversary along with their first reunion of former choir members and musicians at Mt. Olive AME Zion Church, Elizabethtown, at 3 p.m. Everyone is invited to come and help make this a joyous occasion in songs and praise.

— First Missionary Baptist Church of Abbottsburg will hold their birthday program at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Boykin of Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church. He will be joined by his choir.

There will be a Fall Festival from 5 until 7 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church in Whiteville. This will be for children 5th grade and under and their parents. Games, face-painting, candy, and hayrides are free. There will be a nominal charge for hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, popcorn, and drinks. — Evangelist Gary Bill will be preaching revival services at Victory Baptist Church in Whiteville from Sunday, Nov. 15, through Wednesday, Nov. 18. Bill will be speaking at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday and at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Everyone is invited to attend. There will be special music and a nursery for each service. — The Heavenly Hearts Foundation will host a Power to Praise Gospel Fest 2016 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Friendly Community Center in Clinton. On program will be Billy Ray and the Gospelairs, Matthew Murchison and Fresh Sounds, Deliverance Victory Temple Choir, Perry Parker and the Jubilair, Spiritual Voices and Genesis and many more.
