Sept. 10

— The 10th annual Camp Clearwater Chapel Motorcycle Ride will be held starting at Camp Clearwater Campground in White Lake at 10 a.m. Registration opens at 8 a.m. Fee is $25 per motorcycle and $35 with a rider. Sept. 11

— Tar Heel Baptist Church, located at 521 Tar Heel Ferry Road in Tar Heel, will host its revival today through Sept. 14 with three guest speakers. Today at 11 a.m. will be Ethan Drum; today at 7 p.m. will be the Rev. Warren Hill; on Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. and Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. will be Dr. Jeff LaBorg.

— Homecoming will be observed at St. Luke A.M.E. Zion Church, 410 Martin Luther King Drive in Bladenboro, on Sunday September 11, at 4 p.m. The Rev. Ronald Miller and the choir and congregation from St. James A.M.E. Zion Church in Goldsboro, N.C. will be guests. Dinner will be served. The public is invited to attend.

— The Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church Mass & Inspirational Choir will celebrate its anniversaries at 3:30 p.m. Many local groups will be on hand. Refreshments will be served.

— Mt. Olive A.M.E. Zion Church will be celebrating its 132nd church anniversary at 11 am. We are asking everyone to come and join us for a spiritual blessing.

Sept. 17

— The Voice of Praise Gospel Choir of White’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its 30th anniversary at 6 p.m. The evening will feature Maurice McZeke of Dillon, S.C. and the Mighty Echoes … as well as many more. The public is invited. The church is located at 6838 Airport Road in the Lisbon community.

— Mt. Olive A.M.E. Zion Church will have its annual revival for three nights — today through Sept. 23 — with the Rev. Staccato Powell, pastor of Grace AME Zion church in Raleigh, speaking. Everyone is invited.

— New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Lisbon will hold its annual fall revival beginning today and going through Friday at 7:30 p.m. each night. Elder Bakari Brown, pastor of Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church in S.C., will share the Word.

Sept. 23

— Martin Chapel AME Zion Church of Elizabethtown will host “Women on the Move” today and Saturday at 7 p.m. each day. Special guest speaker will be the Rev. Joyce A. — The Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church family will spearhead the church’s 107th anniversary/homecoming celebration starting with the 11 a.m. worship service. pastor Donald L. Thompson will deliver the morning message and, at 3:30 p.m., Pastor Jerry McDowell of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Riegelwood will be the special guest speaker. Lunch will be served between the two service.
