We here at Jones Lake State Park want to take this opportunity to thank all of our park visitors and local citizens for making this year’s summer season a great one.
We had wonderful weather and good times this season. It was especially enjoyable for us as staff members to be a part of many family reunions, birthday parties, weddings, baptisms, family vacations, family fun days outside, as well as educational experiences.
This year alone, we have certified and sworn in over 60 junior park rangers. Generations have appreciated the breath-taking sunsets and environmental wonders at historical Jones Lake State Park. It’s a privilege for us to serve families who still cherish this treasure as did their families and friends before them.
Even though the summer season is over, please know that Jones Lake State Park is open year-round to serve you and your families. We are offering free-to-public programs continuously. In fact, we are ramping up to celebrate North Carolina State Parks 100th year birthday for 2016.
We would like to invite all of you to come out to Jones Lake State Park this year and enjoy your North Carolina State Parks.
