It was a packed house on Saturday, Feb. 27, for the fourth annual Dublin Peanut Festival Oyster Roast and Fish Fry at Lu Mil Vineyard. Good food, old/new friends and beautiful weather helped to make the day a success.
There were over 140 people served oysters and fish along with all the trimmings. We are so blessed to have the support that is shown for our fundraisers. The goal each year is to help offset the expense of our $2,000 Scholarship Award and the Festival. The final total is not in yet, but the Committee is very pleased with the event this year.
The committee would like to thank our volunteers and our sponsors that help us each year. We couldn’t do it without you. A special thank-you to the Dublin Boy Scout Troop 622. These boys work so hard all day. We enjoyed having them there plus this year they gave us a treat by cooking a few desserts over an open fire. That’s what it’s all about, everyone coming together for the betterment of our communities and local schools.
