ST. PAULS –The Knights of West Bladen earned a non-conference tie with St. Pauls on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs scored late in the first half to take a 1-0 lead, but Irvin Hernandez knotted the game at 1-1 13 minutes into the second half.

Just seven minutes later, the match was halted because of lightning and was never restarted.




In Whiteville on Wednesday, East Bladen fell in three straight to the Lady Wolfpack by the scores of 25-20, 25-18 and 25-21.

Lexie Mendell had 10 service points and four aces, while Lacey Suggs added eight service winners with three aces and four kills. Hannah DeVane contributed four kills.




In Cerro Gordo on Wednesday, the Eagles used three first-half goals to defeat West Columbus in a non-conference match, 4-2.

The two teams each scored a goal in the second half.




West Bladen’s Lady Knights opened their 2015 women’s tennis season Wednesday with an 8-1 non-conference victory over West Columbus at Cerro Gordo.
