‘The Rattlesnake’ set for hot competition

By: Staff report

DUBLIN — Mother Nature is expected to offer up a hot Saturday this weekend and the racing in Dublin is expected to match that heat with some top-notch competition.

After all racing was rained out last weekend, Dublin Motor Speedway — known throughout the region as “The Rattlesnake” — will host the Southeast Dirt Modified Series on Saturday, as well as a field of other division racing.

The Southeast Dirt Modified Series will pay $3,000 to win, so racing is expected to be highly competitive.

The rest of the evening will include Late Model, Open Wheel Modified, Super Street, Pure Stock, and U-Cars racing.

Pits will open at 4 p.m. with grandstands opening at 5 p.m.

Practice for the evening’s racing will begin at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow.

Armbands and tickets from last weekend’s rainout will be honored on Saturday plus $5.
