Eagles whitewash Red Springs, 9-0

RED SPRINGS — Greyson Heustess put together a hat trick, while Caleb Hatchell and Brooks McGill each added a pair of goal Wednesday to lead East Bladen past Red Springs in a Three Rivers Conference soccer match, 9-0.

The Eagles also got single goals from Jake Evans and Jay McKoy.

McGill contributed an assist on six of the East Bladen goals, while Irvin Hernandez had two assists. Evans, Hatchell, Heustess and Pierce Melvin each had an assist.

The Eagles had a 10-2 advantage in corners, and Scott Spencer had two saves in the nets.




In Elizabethtown on Wednesday, WHiteville took an 8-1 win over the Lady Eagles in a Three Rivers Conference match.

Ting Lin earned the lone East Bladen win with a tough 8-6 verdict at No. 2 singles.
