DUBLIN — The Castle at West Bladen will host not only Whiteville for a Three Rivers Conference clash, but also PINK KNIGHT, when the varsity cheerleaders ask all fans to wear pink in honor of breast cancer patients all over the world.

But with that sea of pink in the background, the gridiron will feature the rivalry game between the Knights, 3-3 overall and 1-3 in the conference, and the Wolfpack, 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

Whiteville is coming off a 58-16 thumping of Fairmont, while West Bladen is coming off a 36-22 loss to South Robeson last week.

Whiteville brinks plenty of firepower with them — much in the form of a Wing-T running game that features the likes of senior Keshawn Bellamy. On defense, the Wolfpack have a corps of solid linebackers that feature Bellamy, Colby Wimbush, Joziah Bell and Brandon Smith.

Size will also be evident when Whiteville lines up on either side of the ball. Senior Nathan Edwards is 6-4, 305; sophomore Anthony Hill is 6-3, 280; senior Rashad McNeill is 6-0, 273; and senior Cameron Cartrette is 6-0, 260.

The Wolfpack owns an 11-1 all-time record against the Knights, including a 35-6 non-conference win last season.

Kickoff at The Castle is set for 7 p.m. Friday.
