ELIZABETHTOWN – Eight Eagles scored goals Wednesday, with Brooks McGill getting two, and East Bladen blanked visiting East Columbus in a Three Rivers match, 9-0.

The win improved the Eagles to 15-1 overall and 9-0 in the conference.

East Bladen fired in eight goals in the first half, and started the scoring quickly. Early in the match, Irvin Hernandez took a pass from Gabe Barber and boomed in his shot for a 1-0 edge. Moments later, Ezequiel Arteaga scored on a penalty kick and, less than a minute late, Pierce Melvin directed a free kick to McGill, who ripped a shot home for a 3-0 lead.

Midway through the first half, Gabe Barber scored on an assist from Jake Evans and, several minutes later, McGill scored his second goal on an assist from Melvin to give the Eagles a 5-0 advantage.

Moments later, Melvin and McGill worked together again, his time with McGill giving melvin the pass and Melvin getting the goal for a 6-0 edge.

With halftime looming, Greyson Heustess contributed a goal off a feed from McGill and, with seconds left on the clock, Caleb hatchell gave East Bladen an 8-0 lead off a pass from B.J. Monroe.

In the second half, the Eagles ended the match on the mercy rule when Monroe ripped home a shot off a feed from Heustess.
