DUBLIN — The West Bladen High girls tennis team will open dual match competition Wednesday in the first round of the state’s Class 2-A playoffs at North Johnston at 4 p.m.

The Lady Panthers finished the regular season with a 17-2 mark and won the Eastern Plains Conference with a 10-0 record.

The Lady Knights finished 16-2 in the regular season, which was also their conference record after losses to Whiteville and South Columbus.

In Wednesday’s playoff, the projected pairings with their season records are:

No. 1 singles — Conner Brisson (WB) 11-3 vs. Nine Bohunska (NJ) 17-0

No. 2 singles — Savannah Lee (WB) 9-3 vs. Abby Morris (NJ) 8-9

No. 3 singles — Helen Lopez (WB) 4-6 vs. Lanie Headley (NJ) 13-4

No. 4 singles — Autumn Brisson (WB) 12-1 vs. Emily Benedict (NJ) 15-1

No. 5 singles — Mireya Sandoval (WB) 13-1 vs. Maira Tereul (NJ) 12-4

No 6 singles — Alyssa Smith (WB) 10-0 vs. Olivia Gachuz (NJ) 15-1

No. 1 doubles — Conner Brisson/Lee (WB) 7-4 vs. Headley/Morris (NJ) 102

No. 2 doubles — Autumn Brisson/Lopez (WB) 9-2 vs. Benedict/Bohunska (NJ) 10-0

No. 3 doubles — Sandoval/Smith (WB) 12-0 vs. Gachuz/Tereul (NJ) 5-2
