ELIZABETHTOWN — East Bladen got three goals from Caleb Hatchell, while Brooks McGill and Jake Evans each added a pair on Monday to lead the Eagles past visiting West Columbus in a Three Rivers Conference match, 9-0.

Early in the first half, East Bladen got on the board when passes went from McGill to Hatchell to Greyson Heustess, and Heustess zipped the ball to the back of the net for a 1-0 lead.

Barely moments later, McGill booted a corner kick to the front of the net and Evans blasted a shot in for a 2-0 Eagles edge.

As the first half neared the midway mark, Hatchell took a pass from Gabe barber and scored his first goal of the match for a 3-0 East Bladen advantage.

Evans scored his second goal on the night off a pass from Dan Tatum to Heustess to give the Eagles a 4-0 edge. Moments later, Hatchell scored again thanks to a pass from Evans and, just before intermission, Barber took a pass from B.J. Monroe and fired home a shot for a 6-0 East Bladen lead at halftime.

In the second half, the Eagles wasted little time, getting a goal from McGill off a pass from Tatum. Just a blink later, McGill scored his second goal of the match off a pass from Barber — and the match ended a couple of minutes later when Hatchell got his hat trick on another assist from Barber.

Evans and Barber each had 14 steals for the Eagles, McGill was right behind with 13 and the duo of Ezequiel Arteaga and Keshaun Davis each had 12.
