TABOR CITY — Monday was South Columbus Senior Night and there was a 5-minute exhibition to allow Victoria Harrellson to play a little. She also did the first serve. Victoria collapsed Feb. 12 running to third base during a softball practice.
She was air-lifted out and was not given any chance of survival. She, along with prayer and God, make a miraculous recovery and is now walking and talking.
“No matter the outcome of the game, Victoria is the real winner,” said West Bladen coach Gaye Davis. “This night was not about the win/loss. The picture shows two teams coming together for one cause, the true meaning of sport.”
