ROWLAND – West Bladen got its second straight pitching gem, this one from Logan West, but unlike Wednesday’s two-hit shutout win by Scott Bowen, Friday’s two-hitter against South Robeson was a 1-0 heartbreaker in Three Rivers Conference play.

The Mustangs scored the winning run without either of those hits in the second inning — instead using a Knights error, walk, hit batter and passed ball.

West, who struck out 10 in the game, was also 2-for-2 at the plate with a double.
