Devane’s 5 goals lift East Bladen to 9-0 win

ELIZABETHTOWN — Hannah Devane scored five goals Tuesday to help lead East Bladen to a 9-0 whitewashing of visiting St. Pauls in the Three Rivers Conference opener.

The Lady Eagles tallied six goals in the first half before scoring three more in the second half to finish off the match.

Devane, along with her five goals, also had two assists and eight steals for East Bladen. Patience Ward scored a goal and had 10 steals; Kenia Medina scored a goal and had eight steals; Ting Lin scored a goal; Ashley Hardin had three assists and 17 steals; Sara Gargala had an assist and 14 steals; Katie Evans had 12 steals; Ashton Magby had an assist and five steals; and Isabella Smith had eight steals.

As a team, the Lady Eagles had 116 steals and a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks. East Bladen also had a 24-0 advantage in shots on goal.
