DUBLIN — West Bladen welcomed Wallace-Rose Hill to town Wednesday for a non-conference game that had been postponed since March 22, but the Lady Bulldogs took a big bite out of the Lady Knights for a 19-7 win.
West Bladen got three runs in the first on a single by Abby Dawson, double by Kyla Reed, sacrifice fly by Alara Cashwell, RBI single by Carley Dawson and, after a single by Madison Collins, a wild pitch brought home the third run.
The lady Knights added three more runs in the second inning when Alise Pait singled, Reed walked and Cashwell smoked a double to plate two runs. Collins followed with an RBI single.
In the fourth frame, Carley Dawson started the home half with a single and Collins ripped a double for West Bladen’s final run.
At the plate, Reed was a perfect 3-for-3 with a double; Collins was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI; Carley Dawson was 2-for-3 with an RBI; Abby Dawson was 2-for-3; and Cashwell had a double and two RBI.
The Lady Knights will be back in action with a conference game on the road at Whiteville starting at 6 p.m.
