CLINTON — Four County Conference leader Clinton tallied four first-half goals Monday and went on to whitewash visiting West Bladen on the soccer pitch, 6-0.
The Knights’ defense claimed a degree of victory by keeping the game from becoming a 9-0 “mercy rule” loss, as it had in the four previous meetings with the Dark Horses.
The loss sends West Bladen to a 4-7-2 overall mark, 1-4 in the conference. Clinton improved to 14-0-1 overall and 5-0 in the conference.
