ELIZABETHTOWN — East Bladen senior Brooks McGill on Wednesday committed to playing collegiate soccer at Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington.

McGill helped the Eagles soccer team to a 21-2 record this past season — as well as the conference championship with a 18-0 mark — by leading the Three Rivers Conference with 32 goals and 39 assists. He was also a three-time all-conference soccer player at East Bladen.

McGill had also been considering St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, Louisburg College and Columbia (S.C.) International University.

While playing for the Sea Devils, McGill plans to major in business.

McGill is the son of the Rev. Cameron and Tiffany McGill of Dublin.
