St. Pauls no match for host East Bladen

ELIZABETHTOWN — East Bladen dropped just one game in the top four spots of singles and crushed visiting St. Pauls 8-1 on Tuesday in Three Rivers Conference tennis.

Senior Ting Lin, senior Anna Kate White, sophomore Lily Lin and senior Ashley Hardin led the Lady Eagles. Ting Lin beat Dulce Rocha 6-0, 6-0, White topped Sierra Britt 6-1, 6-0, Lily Lin cruised by Jennifer Cabrera Angeles 6-0, 6-0 and Hardin defeated Flor Orozco 6-0, 6-0.

Senior Sarah Mears, at No. 5, turned back Jessica Zavala Cruz 6-2, 6-3. At No. 6, senior Carleigh DeVane fell to Wendy Villasenor 6-4, 3-6, (10-8).

In doubles, White-Lily Lin beat Rocha-Orozco 8-0, Ting Lin-Hardin rolled past Britt-Cruz 8-1 and DeVane-sophomore Carlie West trimmed Angeles-Melissa Cantor Sosa 8-4.
