Lady Eagles fall in five

TEACHEY — The Lady Eagles were well on their way to a seventh straight Four County Conference win with a 2-0 advantage over Wallace-Rose Hill, but a funny thing happened going into the third game. The tables turned.

The Lady Bulldogs fought off elimination and took the next three games to win the match by the scores of 22-25, 20-25, 25-17, 25-19 and 15-13.

East Bladen fell to 10-8 overall and 7-5 in the conference, while Wallace-Rose Hill improved to 13-5 and 9-3.

Lacey Suggs recorded a double-double with 13 kills, 12 service winners and two blocks; Lexi Mendell also had a double-double with 19 service points, 16 kills and four aces.

Miller Heustess contributed 21 assists, nine service points and six aces.
