ROWLAND — Lefredrick Wooten gave up just one hit and East Bladen pounded out 21 in a 23-0 high school baseball victory on Friday.

The Eagles won their sixth straight game, moving to 5-1 in the Three Rivers Conference and 7-1 overall. East Bladen is 6-1 away from home in a quirky schedule that has seen one home played on the road and others switching sites in order to avoid wet fields but get games played with as few postponements as possible.

The Eagles are tied in the Three Rivers loss column with perennial power Whiteville, each with one loss.

Wooten didn’t walk a batter and struck out five. He gave up a two-out, hard ground ball single to center field in the third inning to the No. 9 hitter in the Mustangs’ order.

At the plate, Wooten was 3-for-4 with a double and four RBI.

Raymond Autry was 3-for-3, slugging two doubles and driving in four runs. Greyson Heustess was 3-for-3 with a double. She Pone and Dan Tatum tippled, and Brady Hollingsworth, Zach Meares and Makhi Cromartie doubled. Pone, Hollingsworth and Tatum each had two hits. Tatum also drove in three.
