SHALLOTTE — East Bladen was limited to a pair of hits and fell to host West Brunswick 7-0 in the first day of a high school softball tournament Monday.

Senior Anna Kate White and sophomore Kayleigh Raynor had singles, respectively, in the fourth and third innings. The only other baserunners came on three walks and a hit batter.

Raynor pitched for the Lady Eagles, yielding nine hits, five walks and striking out two.

West Brunswick scored two in the first, two in the fourth and three in the sixth, with Peyton Daniels going 3-for-3 with a home run and five RBI.

East Bladen (6-11) continues play in the event on Tuesday.
