Bladen County residents urged to complete preparations ahead of Hermine

BLADEN COUNTY – Tropical Storm Hermine may bring as much as 5 to 10 inches of rainfall and strong winds up to 35 mph with higher gusts possible.

The Bladen County Office of Emergency Services advises that all residents should be completing their efforts to secure lawn furniture, potted plants, and items that can be become flying debris.

Residents should prepare for possible power outages and are urged to stay off the roadways Friday evening into Saturday morning.

Motorists who must travel will find the NC Department of Transportation helpful regarding any flooding on major state highways and byways. Go to for additional information.
