RED SPRINGS — The West Bladen Lady Knights swept the Red Springs Lady Red Devils for a 3-0 victory on Thursday for a SAC 6 clash. West Bladen freshmen Greer Pope was automatic on the serve with 23 service points to her name, including 3 aces and she bagged over 17 assists. The Lady Knights took the first two sets with ease by a score of 25-16 in the first set and by a score of 25-10 in the second set.
The Lady Red Devils kept things closer in the third set but weren’t able to edge out their opponents as they took the match with a 25-20 victory in the third. West Bladen senior Keira Lewis had 16 attacks and she smashed 10 kills over the net. The Lady Knights have now got two wins in a row as they move to 3-2 in the SAC 6 and push their overall record to 8-9.
West Bladen stays put in third place in the SAC 6 standings with five games remaining in the regular season. Midway stays atop the standing with a perfect 5-0 record in conference play and St. Pauls sits in second place with a record of 4-1 in conference play. The Lady Knights will hit the road this Monday to face the fourth place team in the SAC 6, the Clinton Darkhorses’.
