Donations are being accepted for the 9- and 10-year-0ld baseball team that will represent Elizabethtown and all of North Carolina in the Dixie Youth Baseball World Series in Ruston, Louisiana.
Elizabethtown won the state championship and will play in Ruston, Louisiana, starting Saturday.
The team has established a couple of places to donate directly, and the Bladen Journal is offering a donation of $10 for each new home delivery subscription to the newspaper. The newspaper’s special will run through the World Series, ending with the close of business on Friday, Aug. 9. To sign up, call 910-862-4163 or by coming to the newspaper office at 109 N.
