LATTA, S.C. — J.T. Hepler homered and drove in four runs Friday night as West Bladen defeated Latta 12-2 in a non-conference high school baseball game.

CERRO GORDO — East Bladen scored six runs after two outs in the seventh inning Thursday night in beating West Columbus 11-6 in a Carolina Conference high school baseball game.

Patty Evers has coached high school basketball for 30 years. She’s won more than 600 games and her teams have reached the state championship game five times.

BLADENBORO — Gabby Elkins’ solo home run in the fifth inning Wednesday was the deciding run as North Brunswick beat West Bladen 2-1.

Jenna Brice struck out 11 and scattered eight hits Tuesday as East Bladen edged Clinton 3-2 in a non-conference high school softball game in Elizabethtown. Brice walked only two and threw 71 strikes of her 102 pitches in going the distance.

After winning its first three baseball games, West Bladen was humbled Saturday in a mercy-rule loss at Terry Sanford.
