ELIZABETHTOWN — The Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is encouraging area businesses to welcome the N.C. Interscholaastic Cycling League this weekend.
Hundreds of middle and high school students, and their parents, will be in Bladen County for the event at Browns Creek Bike Park. Saturday is a day for practice, and competition is Sunday.
The chamber says businesses with discounts, in the form of coupons or flyers, can be dropped at its office by 4 p.m. Friday. They will transfer to a table and tent set up at the park throughout the weekend.
The chamber is also hoping businesses will place signage welcoming the bikers in their storefront windows.
Races on Sunday will start at 9 a.m.
