LUMBERTON — An instructional series is being offered to area residents interested in exploring their options in farming, ranching and agriculture.
The six-week, instructor-led series is to begin March 8 at 6 p.m., according to information from North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Robeson County Center. The Robeson County Center is not presenting the series of in-person and virtual classes. Farm School on Wheels will be the host and presenter.
According to the group’s website, Farm School on Wheels “provides gap-free training and on-going support that will empower you to run your own sustainable farming business.”
In-person classes will be available in the Campbell Soup Conference Room, located in Building 18 on the Robeson Community College campus at 5160 Fayetteville Road in Lumberton. The series is provided free of charge, but registration is required for both in-person and virtual meetings.
Classes in the series include:
— Legal Structures, Protecting Your Business and Business Frameworks;
— Site Analysis & Exploring Your Potential;
— Understanding Your Market and Customers;
— Financial Planning for Your Business;
— Maximizing Your Profits and “Belt-Tightening”;
— Family Farm Team Building, Business Operations & HR.
