— GOOD FRIDAY

— Passion Week services will be held at Rehobeth AME Zion, located at 475 Rehobeth Church Road in Clarkton, at 7 p.m. with guest speaker Pastor Gene McNeil of Christian Plain.

— Holy Week services will be held at New Zion Church at 7 p.m. with the sermon given by the Rev. Carl Smith.

March 31

— Elizabethtown Church of God, located at 1767 N.C. 242 North in Elizabethtown, will host an Easter Egg Drop at 3 p.m. There will be Easter stories and games.

— Hickory Grove Baptist Church, located at 6414 Center Road in Bladenboro, invites the community to join in our Easter celebration and egg hunt at 11 a.m., when children of all ages will hear the Easter story, enjoy games, and have lunch. For information, please call 910-648-6864 or 910-863-1506.

April 1

— EASTER

— A Community Early Rise Easter worship service will be held at Old Trinity Church on East Broad Street in Elizabethtown at 7 a.m. This is open to all.

— Tar Heel Baptist Church will celebrate Easter at its two worship services, at 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. A breakfast will be offered at 8:30 a.m. and Sunday School will be held at 9:15 a.m. For information, go to www.TarHeelBaptistChurch.com.

— Passion Week services will be held at Welches Creek MBC, located at 1733 Millie Christine Road in Whiteville, at 7 a.m. with guest speaker Pastor Theresa Page of Central PUSA.

— Holy Week services will be held at Carvers Creek Church at 6 a.m. with the serman given by Elder Pearly Hoskins.

— There will be an Easter Sunrise Service at White Lake Christian Camp, located at 1930 White Lake Dr. in White lake, starting at 7 a.m. The Easter worship service will begin at The Lake Church at 8:32 a.m.

— An Easter Sunrise Worship Service will be held at Hickory Grove Baptist Church on Center Road in Bladenboro at 7 a.m., followed by breakfast. April 5

— Trinity United Methodist Men’s Annual Fish Fry Fundraiser will be will be held 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Cost is $8 per plate for eat in or take out. ITickets can be purchased at Bladen Builders, Dickerson’s Pharmacy, or TUMC church office.

April 7

— Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church will host a barbecue plate fundraiser to benefit East Bladen High School football coach Robby Priest on Saturday, April 7, in the PAC building from 5 to 8 p.m. There will also be a silent auction. Plates will cost $8 each and will include barbecue, baked beans, slaw, rolls and dessert for eat-in or take out. T-shirts with the slogan #RobbyStrong can also be purchased through the Facebook group Fighting with Robby—#RobbyStrong. Priest is currently battling cancer and undergoing chemotherapy treatments. All proceeds from the fundraisers will go to assist Priest and his family with medical expenses.

April 8-11

— Clarkton PFWB Church invites the community to join our congregation for our Spring Revival. Worship services will be held each night featuring a different speaker with special singing provided by T.J. Tatum. Speakers will be: April 8 at 6 p.m., the Rev. Johnny Guyton, pastor of Ammon PFWB Church; April 9 at 7 p.m., the Rev. Donnie Carlye, former pastor of Welcome PFWB Church; April 10 at 7 p.m., the Rev. — It’s party time! Greater McKoy’s Chapel, Inc. will be having their annual Birthday Celebration on Saturday, April 21, at 4 p.m. The Rev. Edwin Ferguson, pastor of Mt. Zion AME Zion Church, choir and congregation will be the special guest at Greater McKoy’s Chapel, Inc., where Dr. Delora LeSane is the pastor. We look forward to seeing you at 284 Center Rd. April 28

— The officers and members of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Council will host a Pre-Pastoral Anniversary “Musical Celebration” for the Rev. Carl A. Smith at 6:30 pm. There will be several choirs, groups and soloists appearing. For information, contact Jewell Smith at 910-862-2989.

May 6

— Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Council will host the 16th Pastoral Anniversary celebration for the Rev. Carl A. Smith. Elder Charles Simpson and St. James United Holy Church will be the morning guests. The afternoon service will begin at 3:30 p.m. with Reginald Wells and Falling Run Missionary Baptist Church of Cedar Creek, Fayetteville, as the guests. • LUMBERTON: The Kids Place Choir of Kingdom Place will present their Easter musical “Paid in Full” this Sunday, April 1, in the 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. Kingdom Place is located at 2610 E. Fifth St. in Lumberton.

• WHITEVILLE: Victory Baptist Church in Whiteville will host a special Good Friday service on March 30 at 7 p.m and a special Easter Sunday service on April 1 at 11 a.m. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.
