Eagles heading to Terry Sanford for Easter baseball tourney

FAYETTEVILLE — The East Bladen baseball varsity will head to Terry Sanford High on Saturday to compete in the annual Bulldogs Easter Tournament.

The tournament will open Saturday at 10 a.m. with Southern Lee and Jack Britt facing off, followed by Midway versus Terry Sanford at 1 p.m., then East Bladen against Freedome Christian at 4 p.m. before a rematch of the past two championship games — Cape Fear versus Scotland County at 7 p.m.

The winner of Scotland-Cape Fear will return to the diamond Monday, April 2, at 7 p.m. to take on the winner of East Bladen-Freedom Christian. The loser of the day-one games will meet at 1 p.m. on Monday.

The championship game will take place 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

Host Terry Sanford is the defending champion.
