RAILROAD MAINTENANCE
BLADEN COUNTY – We are Southern Commercial Development, LLC. We work with CSX Transportation providing traffic control and detour signage for railroad crossing closures which require necessary maintenance and/or emergency repairs. CSX Transportation has announced that they will be having a tie team starting in Bladen Co on March 17, 2025 working towards Robeson Co ending April 18, 2025. This will require a total closure of the railroad crossings. *A total closure meaning no traffic will be allowed across the track until the work is complete*
Here is a google map showing every crossings that will be getting ties. By clicking on each location, I have included an expected closing date. Once closed expect the closure to last at least 3 days, up to 5 days. On the crossings that are one way in/out with residents behind them, CSX will try and get these worked and completed in 12 hrs.

Here are several recommendations that I have regarding several of the multiple road closures in Bladen Co:
1. Can’t have NC211 and SR1003 Twisted Hickory Rd closed at the same time
2. Can’t have SR1172- Grimsley Farm Rd and NC211 and SR1003 Twisted Hickory Rd closed at the same time
3. Can’t have SR1172 Grimsley Farm Rd and NC131 closed at the same time
4. NC131 will close after SR1172- Grimsley Farm Rd is open and completed
5. SR1205- Pine Ridge Circle and SR1180 Pine Ridge Circle closed at the same time
This will necessitate rerouting traffic. Signage will be in place marking detour routes. Please note the expected closure date(s). We will update you with changes in the schedule as they occur, as they are highly likely in this field of work. Please note that any/all dates are subject to change due to weather and/or other unforeseen conditions. Motorist should anticipate extended travel times and delays. Please avoid this closure area if at all possible.
