The alumni of Clarkton’s Booker T. Washington High School honored seven scholarship recipients during a luncheon held Dec. 19 at Dale’s Seafood in Whiteville.
Amanda G. Vasquez, Amari K. Parker, Dylan N. Snowden, Hezekiah S. Blanks-Adams, Jordan Burney, Necole P. McDowell and Naihema S. Leach each was presented with a $500 scholarship, a certificate and Christmas gift.
The Booker T. Washington High School Alumni committee members said they were proud of the scholarship recipients and supported their endeavors to further their education and reach the goals.
If you are a Booker T. Washington High School alumnus and know of a senior who will be graduating in May and plans to attend a community college or university, the students may apply for a scholarship.
