BLADENBORO — Bladen County’s Disabled American Veterans Chapter will hold a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 29, at 2 p.m. at the Bladenboro Historical Building.
Tom Martin will be the guest speaker.
Veterans, soldiers, airmen, marines and sailors — as well as the general public — are welcome. Attendees can learn more about their rights as disabled veterans. In addition, there will be activities and fellowship.
According to David P. Brown, aside from the guest speaker, attendees can expect singing, presenting of the colors along with food and beverages afterwards. During the afternoon, members will have the chance to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.
Bladen County’s Disabled American Veterans Chapter is also welcoming new members.
For anyone interested in joining the Chapter, meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at 109 Hill St. (VFW Building) in Elizabethtown.
