BLADEN COUNTY — Charges were served on Tuesday on four individuals in connection with the investigation into the murder of Jerry Edward Martin of Bladenboro. Martin was found deceased in his home earlier this year on Jan. 23. After Following the completion of an autopsy by the North Carolina Medical Examiner’s Office in Raleigh, it was concluded that Martin’s death was caused by wounds caused by being shot.

Daniel Gene Autry, 35 of Elizabethtown, was charged with first-degree murder, discharging a weapon into an occupied property, felony conspiracy, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

James Todd Harrelson, 30 of Bladenboro, was charged with first-degree murder, discharging a weapon into an occupied property, felony conspiracy, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Jessica Lynne Sloan, 35 of Bladenboro, was charged with first-degree murder, discharging a weapon into an occupied property, felony conspiracy, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Tanner Scott Harrelson, 21 of Bladenboro, was charged with first-degree murder, discharging a weapon into an occupied property, felony conspiracy, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

All four suspects remain at the Bladen County Detention Center with no bond set.
