RED SPRINGS — East Bladen crushed Red Springs 63-36 in SAC-7 girls high school basketball on Tuesday evening.
The Lady Eagles have won five straight, are 7-1 in the Southeastern Athletic Conference and 18-1 overall. Next up is a home matchup Friday with league-leading St. Pauls.
For East Bladen, junior AnnaGrey Heustess scored 12 points and senior Alexus Mitchell 11. Freshman Iveonna Ward led with eight rebounds, and shared game-high honors with Mitchell making five steals each. Senior Maya McDonald had a game-high six assists.
Red Springs has lost three straight, is 4-5 in the SAC-7 and is 8-13 overall.
