WILMINGTON-The East Bladen Lady Eagles drew with the New Hanover Wildcats for a 2-2 stalemate in a non-conference matchup on Thursday. East Bladen got both their goals via senior midfielder Molly Evans, while New Hanover got their goals from sophomore striker Ara Edge and freshmen midfielder Finley Nicholson.
The Lady Eagles came back from two down before Evens scored her brace in the second half. Senior midfielder Heidi Rebollar provided an assist for one of Evans goals and sophomore midfielder Evangila Romanowski provided an assist for one of the Wildcats goals. East Bladen started their season with a tie but their 2024 campaign will continue when they take on West Bladen at home this Tuesday.
