BLADEN COUNTY – Traditionally President Trump will order all flags to half-staff on May 4, 2025 to honor the 70 firefighters who died in 2024. His official proclamation will be available soon.
Starting in 2023, the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend was rescheduled from its traditional October date to May to avoid weather uncertainties and potential federal government shutdowns, ensuring a more stable and accommodating environment for honoring fallen firefighters.
