TABOR CITY — An organization focused on helping families that travel long distances to visit loved ones incarcerated in correctional facilities has scheduled a number of fundraising events.
Proceeds from the events will be used to help Matthew 25 Center continue its ministry of Keeping Families United. Matthew 25 Center is a place where families of inmates can stay when they have preapproved visits. The Center’s service area covers Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus and Robeson counties in North Carolina and Horry County in South Carolina.
The Matthew 25 Golf Tournament is scheduled for May 21. It is to take place at Diamondback Golf Course in Loris, South Carolina, and is to start at 8:30 a.m.
The Bucket Fund Drive is to take place July 1 and Sept. 2, starting at 9 a.m. on both days.
Sporting Clays – Skeet Shoot is set for Sept. 24, starting at 8:30 a.m. The event is to take place at Low Country Preserve in Pireway.
The Matthew 25 Butt Sale is to take place Nov. 17-19.
