ELIZABETHTOWN — Lefrederick Wooten, the son of Ursula and Laquan Wooten, has been selected to attend the Hank Aaron Invitational in Vero Beach, Florida, Saturday through Aug. 2.
The East Bladen High School standout was one of 250 kids selected from the United States to attend this camp hosted by MLB Baseball and USA Baseball.
Lefrederick, better known as Fredy in the community, has been playing baseball since he was able to throw a baseball with his big brother Xavier. From the 250 players chosen, 44 players will receive the chance to play in an Elite Showcase game at Sun Trust Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, the home of the Atlanta Braves.
The family asks for prayers as he travels, and says a special thank you to Raymond Johnson, who nominated Lefrederick for this opportunity. More information on the event is at https://www.mlb.com/hank-aaron-invitational.

Lefrederick Wooten, here pitching against Washington in the state quarterfinals, helped lead East Bladen to the deepest playoff finish of any team in the Three Rivers Conference this spring.
