ROCKY POINT — The East Bladen Eagles competed in their third Waccamaw Conference meet of the season Tuesday.
Senior Sabara McLean represented the girls side with an eighth place finish in the 5k, finishing weit a time of in 25:46.
Pender High School freshmen Valery Trevino took first place with a time of 22:32. Heide Trask junior Jayden Hoffmen came in second with a time of 22:59, and Heide Trask senior Cathrine Ferreyra Martinez finished in third with a time of 23:12.
Senior Jemiya Patterson also represented the Lady Eagles with a time of 41:29 for a 31st place finish.
Heide Trask took the top two spots in the boys 5k with junior Derek Lopez Santiago in first place with a time of 17:56 and senior Kyle Moore finished the race behind him with a time of 18:06.
Pender junior Carter Brown finished the race in third place with a time of 18:23.
East Bladen senior Jacob Caulder ran a time of 22:53 to finish the race in 25th as his team’s sole representative on the boys side. East Bladen’s next race will be the NCHSAA 1A Mideast Regional on Oct. 28th in Cary.
