TAR HEEL — Emily Campos Estrada, an 8th-grade student at Tar Heel Middle School, has been chosen as the winner from our region for the North Carolina General Assembly (NCGA) Youth Art Exhibit.
Sponsored by THMS art teacher, Mrs. Theressa Lewis, Emily submitted her piece to the NCGA Youth Art Exhibit this past year.
Cosponsored by the North Carolina Art Education Association and North Carolina General Assembly, the exhibit is an opportunity to share with our legislators and the public the exceptional creative ability of students across the state.
Emily’s artwork will hang in the Legislative Building in Raleigh for the year-long show.
