Local agencies and places of business have announced closings for the Labor Day holiday. They include:
— There will be no mail delivery on Monday, Sept. 4, and post offices will be closed to mark the holiday. Normal routes and post office hours will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
— All local, state, and municipal offices will be closed Monday.
— All branches of the Bladen County Public Library will be closed Monday, Sept. 4.
— Local, state, and federal courts will remain closed on Sept. 4 and will reopen Sept. 5.
— Bladen County schools will not operate on Monday, Sept. 4. Normal school and office hours will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
— Bladen Community College will be closed on Labor Day and will reopen on Sept. 5 under normal operating hours.
— Bladen County Solid Waste convenience sites will operate on a normal schedule, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., on Labor Day. However, transfer stations will be closed Monday. Normal hours of operation will resume Tuesday.
— All banks will be closed Monday to observe the holiday.
— The Bladen Journal office will be closed Monday, Sept. 4, and will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 9 a.m.
