— There will be a Boston butt sale at the Elizabethtown Church of God from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Cost is $25 and can be picked up at the church located at 1767 NC Hwy. 242 North. For more information call 910-374-1886.

The Elizabethtown Church of God will have a fall festival from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. There will be Trunk-or-Treat and games from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. There will be games,. crafts, bake sale items and a silent auction. The church is located at 1767 NC Hwy. 242 North, Elizabethtown.

— The Food Bank will be open to the public from noon to 2 p.m. at White Oak Family Worship Center in White Oak. You do not have to pre-qualify. The food bank is open to the public. — Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Council will be celebrating their Annual Birthday Rally at 3:30 p.m. Guests will be the Rev. Clifton Freeman and First Missionary Baptist Church. Everyone is invited to attend.

— Second Presbyterian Church will celebrate homecoming at 11 a.m. The speaker will be the Rev. Milton Murchison. The church is located at 208 Dunham Street, Elizabethtown.

Nov. 1

— Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Council will have their Annual Harvest Day celebration beginning at 11 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend

— The Senior Choir of Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate their anniversary at 3 p.m. Many local choirs and musicians will be on hand for this musical celebration. Refreshments will be provided.

— Tar Heel Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming with Sunday school beginning at 10 a.m. and the worship service at 11 a.m. The guest evangelist is Rev. Jesse Mooney of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Supply. Lunch will be served in the fellowship hall following the morning worship service.

— The deacons of Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church will spearhead a three night revival beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 3, and continuing through Thursday, Nov. 5. Services will begin at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The revivalists will be the Rev. Hakeem Reeves of Pleasant Grove MBC of Calabash on Tuesday and the Rev. Corey Samuel Blanks of Charlotte on Wednesday and Thursday night.

— Hands on Africa will tour the United States in November and will be leading a three night revival at the Elizabethtown Baptist Church beginning Sunday, Nov. 8 and continuing through Tuesday, Nov. 10. Services wil begin at 7 p.m. nightly. The church is located at 1800 West Broad Street, Elizabethtown.
