CERRO GORDO — A sixth inning Bladen County rally fell a run short Sunday, June 7 as Whiteville National took a 7-6 victory in the opening game of the Diamond Youth Baseball District 2 AAA (Minors) tournament.

Bladen County split a pair of games and Elizabethtown lost its opening game Saturday, June 6 in Diamond Youth Baseball AA Coach-Pitch tournaments.

The Diamond Youth Baseball District 2 AAA (Minors) tournament is scheduled to open Sunday, June 7 in Cerro Gordo.
